  ITINERARY

Day 1: Arriving into Bogota - Collected from Airport - Monseratte - Gold Museum
Greeted at the airport for a transfer to the hotel. After checking in, collect for a trip to Monserrate, which is a hill that dominates the city of Bogotá, the capital city of Colombia. The highest point is at 3,152 meters above sea level, where there is a church with a shrine, devoted to El Señor Caído. The viewpoint provides specular 360-degree scenery of this impressive city. Duration: 2 hours. After Monserrate, there will be a chance for lunch before heading to the Gold Museum in the afternoon. The museum displays a selection of pre-Colombian gold and other metal alloys, such as Tumbaga, and contains the largest collection of gold artifacts in the world in its exhibition rooms. Duration: 2 hours.

Day 2: Hike around the largest waterfall in Colombia.
Collected from the hotel to hike to the "Mountains of the Moon" and explore La Chorrera natural park, where Colombia's tallest waterfall is waiting. Explores this amazing natural park and learn about the peculiarities of these cloud forests.

Tour is suited for hikers with some experience. Good hiking shoes and wet weather clothes required.

Day 3: Flight in the morning to Bucaramanga - Afternoon abseiling a waterfall
Collected from the hotel to catch a flight to Bucaramanga which is located in Northeast Colombia. Upon arrival private transfer for lunch before heading to Mesa De Ruitoque to abseil down a 55-meter waterfall. Afterwards, heading to San Gil with a stop at Chicamocha Park to ride the cable car which reaches a spectacular 360 view of the valley of Chicamocha Canyon. Staying in a hotel in a San Gil

Day 4: Morning collected for bike ride - Afternoon rafting on level 3 river (level 4/5 also available upon request)
Collected in the morning for a short journey to where the bike ride begins. This ride starts in the beautiful Colinas de Santander, during this ride you will pass farms and coffee plantations as well as impressive scenery. During this ride there will be a car behind for any client that might want to rest. Returning by bike to the town for lunch before rafting on a level 3 river in the afternoon. This is a fun experience on relatively calm waters. Clients also have the option to raft on a level 4/5 but some experience is advised. Duration: 8 hours

Day 5: Quad biking in San Joe
Breakfast in the morning before heading to Valle de San Jose to start a quad bike ride passing coffee, sugar cane, plantain and yuca plantations. The ride will stop at a location called pozo de los deseos where the client can swim and relax. Afterward there will be an opportunity for lunch in San Jose before heading back to San Gil.

Day 6: Morning collected for trip to Barichara - afternoon heading back to Bucaramanga.
Collected in the morning from the hotel to explore "the most beautiful town in Colombia". The start of the day will be with a 2 hour walk for Camino Real which goes from Barichara to Guane. This is a walk that the Guanes people used to do. Once arriving in Guane the client will visit the museum and try some of the typical drinks from this town. After lunch there will be the chance to horse ride around the town before heading back to Bucaramanga in the afternoon for a flight to Santa Marta in the following morning.

Day 7: Collected from hotel and transferred to hotel for flight to Santa Marta
Collected from the hotel for transfer to airport for flight to Santa Marta. Afternoon relaxing on the beach before starting the lost city trek early on the following morning.

Day 8: Lost City Trek - Day 1
Collected early in the morning and driven 2 1/2 hours to Mamey for lunch before the start of the lost city trek. The first day consists of a 4-hour hike, upon arrival at the first camp site there will be the opportunity to relaxing in the river and enjoying the scenery.
The tour is suited for hikers with some experience.

Bring comfortable hiking shoes and a cane if needed.

Day 9: Lost City Trek - Day 2
Starting around 7 am walking along the Buritaca River and passing an indigenous town. Distance on this day is 9 miles and around 7 hours of walking. Plenty of spots during this walk to swimming and relax.

Day 10: Lost City Trek - Day 3
Early start walking up the famous stairs leading to the lost city. The guide will provide an in-depth explanation of the city and its incredible history. Afterward, time to relax and enjoy the history of the lost city before returning to camp.

Day 11: Lost City Trek - Final Day
This day will be returning to El Memey, on the way, there will be some final opportunities to enjoy the natural pools in the river. In El Memey there will be a car waiting to be driven to Tayrona national park for a deserved few days rest in a Boutique hotel on the sea front.

Day 12: Relaxing and enjoying the beaches of Tayrona National Park
All-day relaxing by the beach and enjoying the last full day of the trip. Option to do a trip around the national park (not included in the price).

Day 13: Santa Marta - Bogota - Tour end
Collected in the morning for a transfer to Santa Marta's airport for flight to Bogota. Tour ends in Bogota.
